Official site of mystery author R. Michael Phillips
Michael is a classically trained artist who has been painting for over 30 years. By combining his creative talents with a passion for art and antiquities he conceived the fictional world of the East London Adventurers Club, home to The Ernie Bisquets Mystery Series and the new Inspector Flannel Series.
His first 2 books featured Ernie Bisquets and were praised numerous times for their originality and humor. Michael is busy finalizing the first book in the new Inspector Flannel Series and has plans for at least five additional books following this austere Scotland Yard inspector and a remarkable group of London characters.
One of his short stories, Oranges and Lemons, was published in Suspense Magazine, January 2011. Michael is a proud member of the Crime Writer’s Association.
For those not familiar with The Ernie Bisquets Mystery Series the first book, Along Came A Fifer, was published July 2009 by Asylett Press. It introduces Ernie Bisquets, a retired London pickpocket who put his hand in a pocket and pulled out a murder. Rook, Rhyme & Sinker is the second book, and both are still available. Look for more of Ernie Bisquets in the future.
